Special Transfers For Special People
This service is particularly helpful to the elderly, infirm or non-confident traveller who requires help to get through the airport. All EC Airports are required to offer this service to anyone who needs it. Please remember that due to new EC regulations, you must register with your airline as a PMR (Person Reduced Mobility). This will ensure you get wheelchair assistance from the aircraft, through the airport, passport control and baggage collection and out to the specially adapted ramped minibus and on to your accommodation.
This transfer service is available 24 hours and can be used in conjunction with our Orange Badge Tenerife Mobility Wheelchair hire service so that we ensure your equipment is delivered as soon after your arrival as possible, or, in certain circumstances, Orange Badge Tenerife can have your mobility scooter waiting at your accommodation for you. Please ask Orange Badge for details of scooter rental by pressing here firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on: 0034 922 797355
How Do I Enquire?
All you need to do is email email@example.com with all your details and he will send you back a written quote within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can call Oscar on 0034 650497352 who speaks English AND Spanish and give him all your details.
If you have particular requirements then please feel free to contact us at Orange Badge on 0034 922 797355 or write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be only too happy to help you make your reservation for transfers as well as your Mobility Hire Equipment.
Once you have made your reservation then you will receive a confirmation e mail and you can either pay by bank transfer a minimum of 1 week before travel or cash on your arrival here in Tenerife at the Teide Tours Office. Teide Tours are unable to accept any bookings less than 24 hours before your arrival here in Tenerife.
To find your Tenerife Minibus Transfer, on exiting the baggage hall, you need to turn right and follow the signs for the taxis. Please present yourself to the Teide Tours Office (No.2) on your left hand side just before the exit. Teide Tours, the transport operator, has many years experience of government contracts transporting the disabled in a fleet of more than 400 buses 16 of which are adapted with ramps for easy access. Your experienced driver will help you with your baggage to the minibus and help you off the bus on your arrival at your accommodation.
Details We Will Need
You need to know your name, flight number, departure airport and estimated time of arrival, as well as the number of people in your party and who are in wheelchairs or scooters and your destination accommodation here in Tenerife. Whilst we are very used to dealing with the disabled please help us to help you and make sure you tell us of any special requirements you may have, for example spinal injuries where headroom is important. Please contact Orange Badge with full details only if you have particular requirements or are unsure as to how to proceed.
Once you have arrived at the office in the airport, your experienced driver will escort you to your specially ramped Mini Bus. Teide Tour buses, part of Grupo 1844, are totally legal under Spanish Law. If you get into any type of paid for transport that does not have an SP plate (normally by the number plate at front and rear of the vehicle) then you are potentially putting yourself at risk as the driver does not have legal insurance cover to carry passengers. This transfer service is available to all parties which can include the infirm, elderly or handicapped, as well as larger family groups of up to 32 people
